Tools 7

create a post and respond to the following: After visiting the resources above, design a collaborative project with another classroom. Post the following about the project:
Content objective  When you plan to implement  What tool(s) you plan to use
A brief description of the project (plan - two or three sentences)  If you need to find another classroom - We can begin networking with other classrooms right here!
I am thinking of designing a outdoor indigenous southwestern garden area at our school with another one of the lifeskills classrooms here at Northbrook. One of our classroom has already started with some potted plants but I could see how this will enrich that and we don't have to start from scratch. After aligning it with objectives and standards we could invite other classrooms from the southwest or even worldwide to join us in picking our indigenous plants, predicting how they will survive, cope, and grow in this environment, measuring their progress and recording the outcome. collecting data and sharing it with all participating classrooms could lead to multiple discssion such as "What would you think the outcome would be if this happened???" etc.Since this project could get rather huge we (the classrooms at the physical location) would have to start early on this...could see it becoming a two year project...We could take input on various experiments that we could do in the garden from students from the global community, but we'd want to plan them out in as much detail as possible. We would have to assemble a list of materials needed if they want to create their own garden or experiment rather then watch it performed by the host school. And after running through any rough spots to this project and creating a detailed timeline ..We will put out a Call for Collaboration and away we go...
